Josh completed oncology training in South West Sydney Local Health District and St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney. He undertook further specialisation with a prestigious fellowship at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research and The Kinghorn Cancer Centre in Sydney, Australia, in breast and genitourinary cancer under the mentorship of Professor Elgene Lim and Professor Anthony Joshua. Josh has also completed an observership at Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Massachusetts. He was admitted as a fellow at the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2023.

Josh has had his research published nationally and internationally. He is co-host of a popular oncology podcast called Oncology for the Inquisitive Mind. In what little time he does not spend working, researching, podcasting and teaching, he enjoys spending time with his wife and young daughter, and dabbling in musical, coffee and photography interests.
