Dr Ion Pop
MBBS FRACGP MPH&TM
Dr Ion Pop is a Specialist General Practitioner who is focused on working with his patients and empowering them to achieve their health goals. He is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery from Monash University and a Master of Public Health and Tropical Medicine from James Cook University. Dr Pop has worked at several Melbourne public hospitals and in community general practice in Melbourne and south-western Victoria. He also enjoys teaching, working as an accredited remote supervisor to training doctors with GP training organisations RVTS and MCCC.

I enjoy hiking, travelling, drinking coffee, making sourdough baked goods (although this has sadly reduced in frequency since we are no longer in a lockdown!) and playing tennis.

have a lot more spare time but not be as fulfilled! I love learning about the world around us, how things work, and working to solve complicated problems, and we are very fortunate as GPs to be able to do all of this and help our patients too.
